Instead of struggling with ongoing health issues, it is important to take steps every day to maintain one’s physical condition. In the near future, the average lifespan is likely to increase due to advances in medical technology, and the value of health will rise even further. The Faculty of Health Science investigates and scientifically elucidates the mechanisms of health. It also helps create tomorrow's health and happiness. The aim of the Faculty of Health Science is to build human relationships in which students value the spirit of harmony, and cultivate students who are healthy in body and mind, with a rich sense of humanity. These goals are achieved based on our university's founding spirit. Faculty of Health ScienceDepartment of Nutrition Management Faculty of Health Science Department of Nutrition Management In the Department of Nutrition Management, students take a broad approach to food from the aspect of nutrition. They learn methods for managing and supporting people to promote their health. We develop personnel who can work as food professionals in various settings, including medical facilities, welfare facilities, schools, and businesses. Target careers ●Hospitals To use specialized knowledge about food to provide patients with appropriate meals ●Child-care facilities To provide nutritional guidance and promote health ●Foodstuff and meal provision industry To provide the meals supplied at facilities such as schools ●Pharmacies and drugstores To coordinate with pharmacists to provide nutritional guidance, etc., for users Qualifications and licenses that can be obtained Registered dietician(eligibility for the national examination) Dietitian license Type 1 nutrition teacher's license Food sanitation supervisor Food sanitation inspector Food specialist(eligibility for examination) Faculty of Health ScienceDepartment of Health System Management Faculty of Health Science Department of Health System Management The Department of Health System Management focuses on education in the two areas of exercise and health preservation. Students acquire the knowledge needed to maintain and promote healthy living. The two areas of exercise and health preservation can be flexibly selected to suit the interests and concerns of individual students. Hence, students can follow a course of learning that fits their unique requirements.
