International College Team ended its debut in the final Volleyball Match of Beijing Forestry University in the best way possible and earned a silver medal on October 22nd 2021. As one of fourteen competitors, the International College Team participated in the group stage and semi-finals with other seven schools. All of the supporters at the International College are incredibly proud of this accomplishment.

In the final, it was the International College versus the School of Material Science and Technology. With a whistle, the game kicked off under the direction of the referee. At the beginning, the two sides didn’t fully come into the game and the score was very close. The audience cheered with full enthusiasm, which eased the players’ nervousness to some degree. Among the audience, international students were shouting out the names of the team members to cheer them up. With the atmosphere growing tense, two teams went to the second round and began to come into their own, pushing the game to the highlight. After the fierce competition, the international college team won the second place, which is of great significance to the international college volleyball team for the first taste of competition.

Looking back at the group stage and semi-finals, the International College has defeated the School of Technology, the School of Foreign Languages, the School of Science, the School of Landscape Architecture, the School of Forestry and the School of Grassland Science United and the School of Soil and Water Conservation and finally won the silver medal in the final competition.

The athletes from the International College fully demonstrated the spirit of BFU’s international student community during the competition. BUIC always recognizes and encourages the unique spirits that sport provides in uniting disparate groups in a common goal, and BUIC shares the values of fairness and integrity in sports. We can come together and use our different talents to impact the community and our peers who we are competing against. We sincerely congratulate the members of and wish them inspiration for the new victories!
