The 2023 World Youth Development Forum on Coping with Climate and Food Crisis was held in Beijing Shougang Park. Seventeen teachers and students of Beijing Forestry University participated in elevator speeches and exchanges at the Theme Forum on Coping with Climate and Food Crisis.

International students from Russia, the United States, Pakistan, Iraq, Myanmar, Yemen and other countries, together with Chinese students, went to the main podium of the forum in turn and shared their views and opinions on the global sustainable development goals set by the United Nations. Taking into account the situation of their respective countries and what they had seen and heard in China, the international students respectively expressed their initiatives and hopes on a variety of themes such as poverty eradication, hunger eradication, good health and well-being, quality education, climate action, etc., and together with Hu Sheng, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, they lighted up the 17 goals of the United Nations' 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. They all took the initiative, hoping that there would be openness and inclusiveness, interconnectivity and common development among countries, and that unremitting efforts would be made for the sustainable development and modernization of the world, so that the fruits of modernization would benefit the people of all countries in a greater and more equitable manner.
